RIP! Legendary actor Nedumudi Venu passes away

Legendary actor Nedumudi Venu (73), who enthralled Malayalam and Indian cinema audiences with his impeccable acting, has passed away. He was hospitalized due to ill health at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday morning. He was treated in the intensive care unit as he had earlier been affected by COVID 19.
It is said that Venu was undergoing treatment for a serious stomach ailment for a long time now. Born Keshavan Venugopalan Nair on 22 May 1948 in Nedumudi, Alappuzha district, Nedumudi Venu is one of the most talented actors Malayalam cinema has ever produced. The characters he immortalized as hero, co-star, villain, character actor and comedian will always stay in the minds. A trained theater artiste his film debut was in 1978 with Aravindan's 'Thumpu' and there was no looking back since then. He was known as much for his various dialogue delivery styles as for his portraying different characters in over 500 films.
Apart from Malayalam films Nedumudi Venu has also delivered towering performances in Tamil films as well including in Shankar's 'Indian' and 'Anniyan' and more recently in Rajiv Menon's 'Sarvam Thaala Mayam'. He also reprised his role in 'Indian 2' which has been stalled for a long time now. Celebrities from all over India are condoling the passing away of the legend. RIP!
