Popular Malayalam film actor and Kollam MLA Mukesh has courted a new controversy for scolding a 10th standard student on a phone call. The audio clip of the telephonic conversation has gone viral.
The boy identified himself as a Class X student from Ottappalam in Palakkad, called the actor six times while the latter was attending an online meeting. From the moment Mukesh picked up the call, the boy is heard saying that he wanted to convey an important matter. But throughout the conversation, Mukesh sounded highly irritated, and never did he ask the boy about why he had called him. The actor went on to scold the teenager for contacting him instead of calling the MLA representing his Palakkad constituency. When the boy said a friend gave him Mukesh's phone number, the MLA said his friend deserved a slap on the face. Though the boy is heard repeatedly apologizing to the actor, the latter continued scolding him.
After the telephonic conversation triggered a controversy, Mukesh responded saying that the phone call was a pre-planned attempt to defame him. The actor in a Facebook live interaction said that he had been receiving calls from several people with an intention to provoke him. "If the boy who called me is so innocent, then why did he record the call? Why did he call me six times? It shows the whole incident was planned," he said.
Earlier too, the actor landed up in a controversy over a phone call that he received at 11 in the night from a person, who claimed himself to be his fan.
