Another popular actor joins Ponniyin Selvan!

Director Maniratnam who had last directed the multistarrer Chekka Chivantha Vaanam is next directing the movie Ponniyin Selvan, which is the movie version of the Kalki Krishnamoorthy classic novel of the same name.

While the movie started shooting last week in Thailand with portions involving Jayam Ravi, Karthi and Aishwarya lekshmi, the team will see Vikram, Trisha and Aishwarya Rai joining shooting next year.

Now it has been revealed that popular character actor Mohan Raman has joined the cast of Ponniyin Selvan and he's growing a long beard for his character. The actor made it official on Twitter as he tweeted Friends. This beard is for ponniyin selvan...... Will be there till June next year. Thank you All.
