For the past few years India a country that worships womanhood hood has to hang her face down due to almost daily occurrences of crimes against women especially rape. The latest case is against the son of veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty who has been booked by the Mumbai police on rape charges alleged by an unnamed actress.

According to the complaint the actress was allegedly invited by Mithun's son Mahaakshay to his home in 2015 where he spiked her drink with a sedative and when she was unconscious he raped her. After that it has been said that Mahaakshay repeatedly raped the actress for the next three years promising to marry her.

In 2018 Mahaakshay not only dumped the actress but also got married to another actress Madalasa Sarma. At that time the victim was pregnant with this child and the star kid had forced her to abort the child.

The actress had then moved to Delhi in 2018 and filed a petition in the court there and when it came for hearing the judges have ordered the Mumbai police to probe the case as the crime happened in that jurisdiction.

The police have filed cases under sections for committing rape, administering poisonous substance into the victim, cheating her and causing her to miscarry her child. Yogita Bali the wife of Mithun and Mahaakshay's mother has also been booked as she was aware of all the happenings and aided her son in his crime.

Mithun Chakraborty who was a superstar in Bollywood in the eighties and nineties has also acted in a few Tamil films including 'Guru' and is settled in Ooty where he runs a star hotel.
