Actor Aari had made his debut with Rettai Suzhi which was produced by Director Shankar's S Pictures, and had later acted in movies like Maalai Pozhuthin Mayakkathiley, Nedunchaalai, and played Nayanthara's husband in the horror hit Maya.

Last seen on screen in the horror movie Nagesh Thiraiyarangam, the actor is now shooting for few movies like Alekka where he is paired with Bigg Boss 2 Aishwarya Dutta, the alien movie Ellam Mela Irukuravan Paathupaan and Mounavalai.

Now it has been officially announced by the actor that he has changed his name to Aari Arujuna and has informed that from this New year he will be mentioned with this new name in his movies as well as in media articles on him. The actor is also known for his social welfare activities.
