Madhavan is a renowned actor and director in Indian cinema today. He tasted commercial and critical success with his directorial debut, 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' last year. It was a biopic drama about the ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan's controversial life.

Now, the hot news is that Madhavan is back with yet another biopic film. He will be seen as the famous Indian inventor GD Naidu. He is an engineer hailing from Tamil Nadu, often referred to as the “ Edison of India” and "the wealth creator of Coimbatore". Also, he’s credited with the manufacture of the 1st electric motor in India.

This movie which will showcase the life and achievements of GD Naidu will be bankrolled by Mediaone Global Entertainment. The makers announced the project yesterday with a concept poster and it went viral on social media. The cast and crew details will be revealed when the team finalises things. It is expected to be a multilingual venture.

On the work front, Madhavan also has a film with the 'Thiruchitrambalam' director Mithran Jawahar, a Hindi film titled 'Amriki Pandit' and C Sankaran Nair's biopic movie.
