Actor Karthik better known as the Navarasa Nayagan due to his versatile acting skills reportedly suffered breathlessness suddenly and was rushed to the Malar Hospitals in Adyar Chennai. A 'COVID 19 test was taken which came out with a negative result and the doctors are treating him in the intensive care unit.

After a very long gap Karthik was spotted yesterday in public when he called for a press meet to announce that he and his party Manitha Urimai Kaakkum Katchi will be supporting the ADMK - BJP alliance in the upcoming Tamil Nadu General Elections. It was during a campaign speech last night when he suddenly took ill.
