The most passionate among actors are those who perform on the stage or streets who revel in the applause that people give them first hand. One such actor Kamalanathan who performed in street plays regularly in Anaikattu near Vellore passed away right in front of the audience.

The Nadigar Sangam has shared the video of Kamalanathan's passing away and has revealed that he was performing the play "Arjunan Dabasu" when he suffered a heart attack and breathed his last.

Fans on social media are condoning the death of the street play artiste who in his lifetime has entertained thousands, Posters of tribute have been pasted all over Anaikattu in honor of Kamalanathan who was also a playwright and acting teacher.
