Parvathy is one of the most brilliant actors in the 80s and 90s. She had worked with Mollywood's most exceptional filmmakers including Padmarajan. She has also shared the screen with some of the A-listers in Mollywood, including Mohanlal and Mammootty. Parvathy and Jayaram met each other on film sets. Parvathy was a star when Jayaram met her. The duo worked together in the 1988 film 'Aparan' in which she played Jayaram’s sister. Later the duo had shared the screen multiple times and romanced on screen in movies such as - ‘Shubhayathra’, ‘Vadakkunokkiyanthram’, and ‘Thalayana Manthram’.

The onscreen romance shifted to real life and they tied the knot in 1992. Parvathy quit her career as an actor following their nuptials. The couple has two children - Kalidas and Malavika. While Kalidas has already established himself as an actor in the Tamil and Malayalam film industries, his sister is a model and has acted in advertisements.
