Veteran actor Jayaprakash Reddy passed away on Tuesday at 73. He suffered a cardiac arrest. The actor's death happened at his Guntur residence.
Known for a range of comedy and negative roles, JP shone like a star character artiste in scores of box-office hits. Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Samarasimha Reddy' and Venkatesh's 'Preminchukundam Raa' made heads turn, thanks to their unique casting of JP. The actor was equally adept at comedic roles, as his films with the likes of Sreenu Vaitla proved. Mass directors like VV Vinayak cast him in hilarious roles in films like 'Nayak'.
In EVV Satyanarayana's ‘Jambalakidi Pamba’, JP proved that he can do any sort of role with aplomb. In the 2000s and 2010s, he went on to do a number of films starring superstars like Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Allu Arjun and others.
