Noted comedy actor to join AIADMK

In the history of Tamil cinema many actors have entered politics, but only a handful of them have made a mark. The latest to join the long list of actors turned politicians is noted comedian Ganja Karuppu famous for his roles in rural comedy entertainers. Only time will say whether he will get a place in the 'A' list of film industry celebrities who were successful in politics also.
It has been revealed that Ganja Karuppu will be joining the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam lead by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha who herself emerged from Kollywood. Karuppu will apparently enroll himself in ADMK in the presence and blessings of the party leader.
Ganja Karuppu made his acting debut playing an important comical role in director Ameer's 'Ram'. Since then he has acted in 100s of Tamil films and the notable among them are 'Subramaniapuram', 'Paruthiveeran', 'Nadodigal' 'Kalavani', 'Vengai', 'Isai', 'Dharmadurai' and many more. He is presently producing the film 'Velmurugan Borewells' and also acting in the lead role in it.
The actor is also popular for his philanthropic activities.
