Daniel Annie Pope got his breakout role as Roma Summar Moonji Kumar in 'Idharku Thaaney Aasaipattai Balakumara' and further gained the limelight by participating in 'Bigg Boss 2' hosted by Kamal Haasan. He however lost a lot of that ground by playing an important role in the adult film 'Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu 2'.

The comedy actor is embroiled in a controversy for allegedly asking for photos of a minor girl through a late night chat at 2 am in the morning. An Instagram user has shared screenshots of the alleged chat and has written "I’m not adding the details of the girl . Daniel pope hitting random girls DM at late night and asking their pics. She’s a 17 years old school girl ( she’s Brilliant. Didn’t give him any of her details when he asked ) and this Daniel pope( couldn’t tag him ) is a married guy with a kid. He asked her to send her pics twice and its 2 a.m And asking her details. Don’t know how long he’s been doing like this.”

Following this several other Insta users have also shared other screen shots that are showing the actor in poor light though it is not clear whether those are from his original account or hacked account. The truth will be known only if Daniel Annie Pope gives an official clarification.
