Kamal Haasan has paid a long tribute to his close friend and popular Telugu actor Chandramohan who passed away on November 11th. It is well known that apart from hundreds of Telugu films the 82 year old also acted as MGR's younger brother in the all time blockbuster hit 'Naalai Namadhe', Kamal Haasan's friend in 'Neeya' and finally shared screes space with Karthi in 'Saguni'.

Kamal penned the tearful not in Tamil that roughly translates to "Chandramohan, a veteran actor in Telugu cinema and my soul friend, has passed away. Our friendship started when I was 16 years old. Master Thangapan commissioned me to teach dance to Chandramohan when I was his assistant. Chandramohan had a strong Telugu accent when speaking Tamil and so AVM asked me to dub for the film in which he played the lead role. It was a new opportunity for me who was a only a young dance assistant till then."

The all time blockbuster hit 'Vikram' movie hero added "In our journey that started like this, Chandramohan played my role in the Telugu remake of the Tamil blockbuster '16 Vayathinile'. Foremost among the interests we both have in common is food and we had a great skill in searching for good food and enjoying our eating. An expert who knows the art of living better than that. He knows the formula to keep himself and those around him happy. A great actor, a student who was always ready to learn, my sweet friend has passed away. His memories surround me at this moment. Farewell my dear!"

Kamal Haasan who is currently hosting 'Bigg Boss Tamil 7' will soon begin shooting for the remaining portions of 'Indian 2' as his 'Indian 3' is already completed and footage locked. His upcoming biggies include Mani Ratnam's 'Thug Life', Nag Ashwin's 'Kalki 2898 AD' and H. Vinoth's 'KH 233'.
