Veteran journalist cun actor Bayilvan Ranganathan is famous for his comedic roles with several top comedians including Goundamani, Senthil, Vivek and Vadivelu. He is also known for throwing bold and sensitive questions at celebrities during press meets.
Ranganathan for the past few months has been posting videos on his YouTube channels in which he reveals about the private lives of celebrities. The journo has not spared anyone and has been talking about the intimate affairs of even seniors such as Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth family, Radhika Sarathkumar, Dhanush and others.
Meanwhile a woman named Divya has lodged a complaint at the City Police Commissioners Office in Chennai agains Bayilvan Ranganathan. She has sought his arrest for making derogatory remarks about especially female celebrities from the Tamil film industry.
A few days back Vanni Arasu a leader of the Viduthalai Siruthaikal Katchi slammed Bayilvan Ranganathan's video speech against the Me Too movement and quoted the sections under which he could be arrested. According to him the sections are 354(a) Ipc, 294 IPC, 4 of Tamil nadu Women harresment act,67 of Information technology act and sec354. Reports suggest that the veteran actor and journalist may be arrested if an FIR is filed.
