Malayalam actor Bala was hospitalized on Tuesday morning in Kochi due to liver-related issues. After the news broke out his ex-wife and singer Amritha Suresh and their daughter Avantika met Bala who was undergoing treatment in the hospital. Amritha arrived at the Private Hospital in Kochi with her family. Videos of the same have also surfaced online.
Taking to her social media handle, Amritha's sister Abhirami Suresh informed that Amritha was still at the hospital. "We visited Bala Chetan at the hospital with our family.. Pappu and Chechi met and talked.. Chechi is with Bala Chetan in the hospital.. Shiva Annan has also arrived from Chennai.. Currently there are no other problems.. Kindly don't spread fake news at this hour," said Abhirami in her social media.
Amritha got married to Bala in 2010. However, they split in 2019 and have a 10-year-old daughter together. Later in 2021, Bala got married to Elizabeth Udayan, while in 2022, Amritha entered wedlock with popular singer-music director Gopi Sundar.
It is said that Bala sought treatment at the hospital after experiencing physical discomfort. He had previously visited the hospital a week ago as part of his treatment.
Actor Unni Mukundan visited Bala at the hospital in Kochi along with production designer Badusha NM. Badusha took to his social networking page to share an update on Bala’s health earlier the day. “Unni Mukundan, myself, Vishnu Mohan, Swaraj and Vipin visited actor Bala today at Amrita Hospital. Bala spoke to everyone. Right now, there’s no other problem for his health. His brother Shiva is on his way from Chennai to the hospital. The official statement on Bala’s health will be sent out by the doctors later,” wrote Badusha on his Facebook handle. It may be noted that Bala and Unni had a fallout last year.
On the work front, Bala's most recent project was the 2022 film "Shefeekkinte Santhosham," directed by Anup Pandalam, in which he portrayed the character Ameer. The script was written by Pandalam, and the film also featured actor Unni Mukundan in a significant role. Bala is slated to make a strong comeback in the Malayalam film industry with several highly anticipated projects including My Dear Machans, Bilal and Sthalam.
