Veteran actor Bala Singh suffered heavy fever and breathlessness a few days back and was admitted to the Vijaya Hospital in Vadapalani Chennai. It has been reported that his condition is critical sending shock waves in Kollywood.

Bala Singh a veteran stage actor and close friend of Nassar made his debut in the latter's directorial venture 'Avatharam' in a negative role and impressed audiences greatly and there was no turning back after that. He has continued to play character roles in many movies with the latest being Suriya's 'NGK' and Arya's 'Magamuni' both of which earned him acclaim for his meaty roles. Many Kollywood celebrities have expressed their concerns for the well being of the sixty-seven-year-old Bala Singh and fans have also visited the hospital to enquire about him to his family.
