Arya one of the leading heroes in Tamil cinema suffered losses a few years back running his production house and some of his films did not do well. However the past couple of years there has been a turnaround as his 'Magamuni' directed by Shantakumar and 'Sarpatta Parambarai' directed by Pa. Ranjith have put him back on track.
He has also had personal joy marrying actress Sayyeshaa in 2019 and becoming a father to a baby girl a few weeks earlier. The affable star had to face unwanted controversy when a Germany based Sri Lankan girl Vidja accused Arya of carrying on an online affair with her. She also claimed that he took ninety lakhs from her promising to marry her after divorcing his wife. The woman also through her counsel submitted cellphone chats and recordings to authenticate her claims.
Arya was summoned and the cybercrime police recorded his statement and started an investigation. It was then found that R Mohammed Arman and A Mohammed Hussaini of the Pulianthope area in Chennai had impersonated Arya and cheated Vidja. Both have been arrested and are in custody.
Arya opened up on Twitter "I would like to thank Commissioner of Police @chennaipolice_. Additional Commissioner of Police-Central Crime Branch and Cyber Crime Team of Chennai city for arresting the Real culprit. It was a real mental trauma which I never expressed. Love to everyone who believed in me".
On the professional front, Arya's next film release is 'Aranmanai 3' directed by Sundar C which has Raashi Khanna, Andrea Jeremiah, Sakshi Agarwal, Yogi Babu, Sundar C and the late Vivek in important roles.
