An action-thriller titled '22', directed by Sivakumar B, was launched today in Hyderabad. Victory Venkatesh graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Starring Rupesh Kumar Chowdary and Saloni Misra as the lead pair, the film's launch event was attended also by BVSN Prasad, Sai Tej, Naveen Yerneni, Konda Krishnam Raju, director Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao, Harish Shankar, Ashwini Dutt C, KS Rama Rao, MS Raju, Anil Sunkara, Shyam Prasad Reddy, Gemini Kiran, SV Krishna Reddy, Atchi Reddy, KK Radhamohan, Samudra, Nimmakayala Prasad, Chitturi Srinivasa Rao, Sagar and others.

Speaking on the occasion, director Sivakumar B said, "I am very happy that my maiden venture has been launched on the hands of Venkatesh garu. I worked as an assistant director on two of Sai Tej garu's movies. I have worked under Maruthi garu, Puri Jagannadh garu and VV Vinayak garu. I am at this stage by taking them as inspiration. Pooja Ramachandran of Bigg Boss fame has a crucial role in the movie. Jashua garu, who worked on 'Baahubali', 'Khaidi No. 150' and 'Saaho', will compose the action sequences. My mother Jaya garu was my biggest strength. I learned a lot from her. I am sure she is the happiest today wherever she is. The title '22' has a certain meaning and it's associated with a twist in the movie. The regular shooting will start from July 29."

Rupesh Kumar Chowdary said, "I have always wanted to become a good artist from childhood. I am happy that my wish has come true today."

Vikramjit, Jayaprakash, Pooja Ramachandran, Rajeswari Nayar, Ravi Varma, Fida Sharanya, Rambabu Varmalanka, Master Tharun Pawar, Baby Ojal Pawar and others are part of the cast.
