Action King Arjun is one of the few leading men who has remained steadfast in his career for close to four decades. Fans adore his fitness and young looks of which they are never tired of. In recent times he has switched to villain and supporting characters which have also been received well.

It is now learned that Arjun has been approached to host the Tamil version of the internationally renowned 'Survivor' series. Earlier it was reported that the producers approached Simbu to host but the deal did not come through.

The 'Survivor' reality game show format in the international editions is sixteen or more players are divided into two or more "tribes" and sent to a distant, secluded area (typically in a tropical environment) where they are forced to survive off the land with minimal resources for about forty days. Frequent physical and mental challenges push the teams against each other for rewards such as food or luxury, or for "immunity," forcing the other tribe to attend "Tribal Council" and vote out one of their tribemates.

It is said that very rough terrain has been zeroed in South Africa for the 'Survivor Tamil' version where people can reach only through helicopters and Arjun and the other contestants will fly there to begin shooting in the month of September. Zee Tamil is the channel that will telecast the show.

On the movie front Arjun is currently acting in the upcoming sports flick 'Friendship' that marks the debut of cricketer Harbhajan Singh and 'Bigg Boss 3' fame Losliya in the lead roles. He is also teaming up with Jiiva for a new movie titled 'Medhavi' directed by lyricist turned actor-director Pa. Vijay.
