Action hero Vishal had a mixed 2018, with the successful cyber thriller Irumbuthirai directed by debutant PS Mithran, and then followed it with the Lingusamy directorial Sandakozhi 2, the sequel to their 2005 blockbuster,and the sequel met with mediocre response.

The actor's next movie Ayogya's teaser was released recently, and met with good response, and the movie directed by debutant Venkat Mohan, also stars Raashi Khanna, Parthiepan and KS Ravikumar, and targets a summer release. Even before the release of Ayogya, the actor has reportedly signed his next.

Buzz is that Vishal will be joining hands with the classy maker Gautham Vasudev Menon for his next project, which is said to be a fundraiser for Tamil film producers council. Vishal is leaving no stones unturned to raise funds for TFPC, as he had recently organised Ilaiyaraja 75 and now has signed this movie for the cause. An official announcement on GVM - Vishal project is expected soon. With Vishal known for his penchant for action, and Gautham being an expert in both love and cop flicks, it is to be seen if this will be an action movie or a romantic entertainer.
