‘Ace’ Advance Booking Begins For Vijay Sethupathi’s Upcoming Blockbuster

Advance ticket booking is now open for Ace, the much-awaited Tamil film starring Vijay Sethupathi. Scheduled for release on May 23, 2025, the film is directed by Arumuga Kumar, who reunites with Sethupathi after their 2017 film, Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren.

Ace is a romantic crime comedy featuring Sethupathi as Kannan, a man whose dreams of settling abroad are shattered after a failed robbery drags him into the criminal world. Caught in a whirlwind of crime and chaos, Kannan must depend on his instincts and wit to survive. The storyline promises a thrilling mix of suspense, humor, and emotions.

Shot predominantly in Malaysia, this film marks Vijay Sethupathi’s 51st lead role in Tamil cinema. Actress Rukmini Vasanth plays the female lead, joined by a strong supporting cast including Yogi Babu, P. S. Avinash, Babloo Prithiveeraj, and Divya Pillai. Principal filming took place from May to November 2023.

Originally referred to as Vijay Sethupathi 51, the film’s official title and release date were confirmed in 2024. Music for the film is scored by Justin Prabhakaran, with Sam C. S. composing the background score. Cinematography is handled by Karan B. Rawat and editing by Fenny Oliver.

Produced by Arumuga Kumar under the 7Cs Entertainment banner, Ace features a large technical team including VFX by Pixel Light Studio and action choreography by Dinesh Subbarayan, Don Ashok, Ricky, and James Chung. With advance bookings now open, fans eagerly await its theatrical release.
