A day after US President Donald Trump said that Narendra Modi is like the father of the Indian nation, Union Minister Jitendra Singh commented that those who don't accept this can't be called Indians.
"People who live abroad are proud today of being Indian. This is happening due to the personality and personal outreach the PM," he said.
This is what Trump had said earlier: "PM Modi is a great gentleman and a great leader. I remember India before was very torn. There was a lot of dissention, fighting and he brought it all together. Like a father would bring it together. Maybe he is the Father of India. We will call him the Father of India."
Trump's comments come days after Modi heaped praises on him at the 'Howdy, Modi' event.
