Tovino Thomas is making his Tamil debut with an upcoming Malayalam-Tamil bilingual titled 'Abi & Anu' directed by renowned cinematographer BR Vijayalakshmi. The first look poster of the movie has been released and in very less time it has already created waves online. The breezy romantic poster features the lead pair Tovino Thomas and Pia Bajpai.

The film which tells a trendy love story of the contemporary youth features Tovino in the role of Abi, a software engineer. Pia plays the role of Anu, a young organic farmer who is raised by a single mother essayed by Rohini in the film. Pia who was last seen in 2013 in the films Aamayum Muyalum (Malayalam) and Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe (Tamil) is making comeback with the Tovino starrer. The movie which is based on a real-life event also features Suhasini, Prabhu, and Rohini in pivotal roles.

The movie has been extensively shot in Vagamon, Chalakudy, Erattupetta, Chalakkudy, and Chennai. Abi & Anu will hit the theatres on September 22, 2017.
