His dearest pa impressed one and all with his remarkable hosting style on reality shows and now Bachchan Jr. will be gracing the small screens as well.

The popular channel, COLORS, is going to launch a new game show with Abhishek Bachchan as its host. Titled Idea National Bingo Night, the game show is said to be based on its international version called Bingo. It will be produced by Fox Television Studios India Private Limited.

Although Big B is a good associate of the channel, Abhishek dismisses this fact and insisted that the show’s concept attracted him to take the offer. Stated Abhishek, “I liked the concept of the show, it excited me creatively. I liked what they were trying to do and liked what they have done. It is great that Colors thought if me. The decision was theirs, it didn’t have anything to do with the fact that pa was part of the channel.”

Talking about the show, the actor further added “It is something different. It is important to do differently. I have always done so with my career, the kind of films I have done. It has to challenge me, something that I haven’t done before. So this suits me.”

It is heard the inaugural episode will feature Abhishek’s dad Amitabh and wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Abhishek who is currently busy in Goa with Ashutosh Gowariker's ‘Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se’ will be shuttling in and out for the TV show, sources said.
