Abhishek Pictures acquires 'Kabali' rights

Rajinikanth-starrers create a pan-Indian sensation. In fact, they create a rage even in overseas. Kabali, a film that has caught the audience amazed with its style-prominent teaser, has become one such film, expectedly so.

The news is that the Telugu version of this gangster flick has been acquired for a huge figure of Rs. 26 cr by Abhishek Pictures, which now has the theatrical rights to distribute it in Andhra Pradesh and Nizam areas.

This ace distribution house has another big-ticket release this season: it's Mahesh Babu's Brahmotsavam.

This Pa.Ranjith-directed film, also starring Radhika Apte, is slated for a late June or early July release. The audio is expected to be out on May 30. It has been music-directed by Santosh Narayan.
