Satirical political drama 'Johar', the Telugu-language feature film, will be released by the renowned production house Abhishek Pictures. The film, directed by debutant Teja Marni, tells the story of five characters caught in a unique situation. It comes with the tagline 'History is a set of lies agreed upon'.

Starring Esther Anil in the lead, this one also has 'Kaala' and 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' actress Eshwari Rao, Naina Ganguly, and budding actor Chaitanya Krishna in supporting roles.

Producer Abhishek Nama has expressed his happiness over acquiring the theatrical release rights of 'Johar' for distribution in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Non-theatrical rights, too, are with him.

Bankrolled by Bhanu Sandeep Marni of Dharma Surya Pictures, the film will hit the screens in April.
