Abhishek Bachchan had to massive shoes to fill when he decided to follow his father's footsteps to make a career in the film industry. He tried for several years to get into the image of a typical Bollywood hero but found success when he started experimenting with scripts and his roles. There's no doubt that Abhishek borrows a lot of traits from Amitabh Bachchan to shape his personal and professional life and recently during a YouTube podcast, he talked about his "Simba moment" with Big B.
Abhishek told Ranveer Allahbadia, "Since my father’s fatal accident in 1982 on the sets of Coolie, every Sunday there’s a crowd of people that come to meet him outside the house. He religiously does everything in his power to be there at 6 in the evening on Sunday to go meet the crowd.”
He further added, “There had been times, after I became an actor that, he took me and I call it my Simba moment (referring to The Lion King film). I go there and very reluctantly wave because obviously nobody’s there going to wave at me when Mr Bachchan is standing behind you. They are there for him."
Abhishek was recently seen in the film 'Bob Biswas' and he has projects like 'Dasvi' in the production.
