Actor Abhishek Bachchan will soon be seen in Diya Ghosh's suspense thriller 'Bob Biswas'. The film is backed by superstar Shahrukh Khan and the latest buzz about it suggests that the film is going to have a digital release on Zee5. Abhishek's last film 'The Big Bull' was also a digital release. 'Bob Biswas' is already wrapped up and done with the post production and makers are now deciding when to release it.

'Bob Biswas' is a spin off of Sujoy Ghosh's 2012 thriller 'Kahaani' which starred Vidya Balan. Bob Biswas was a character from that film and he turned out to be a fan favourite despite having limited screentime. Since Bob's character couldn't be explored properly in 'Kahaani', Sujoy Ghosh decided to extrapolate his story with a spin off film which is directed by his daughter.

In 'Kahaani', Bob was a psychologically unstable insurance agent who was secretly a contract killer as well. He was originally played by Saswata Chatterjee and Abhishek has replaced him in the prequel.
