Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who belongs to the most prestigious family, expressed his pride at having been born into this big family and recognized the responsibility of maintaining the reputation secured by his father, Amitabh Bachchan, and grandfather, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. On Raj Shamani’s pod cast, Abhishek stressed maintaining dignity in his family name and mentioned that he was greatly inspired by his father's legacy. He mentioned how much he loved following up after him.

Abhishek stressed the role that his wife, Aishwarya Rai, plays in communicating family values to their daughter, Aaradhya. He said they want her to be imbued with a deep reverence for the achievements of her father, grandfather, and great-grandfather without putting any pressure on her. According to him, his daughter is far more mature than her years and has an attribute Abhishek termed a penchant for asking questions, which is common amongst the younger generation that cherishes equality-free dialogue.

The actor humorously replies that he cannot ask Aaradhya to order as she rightfully retorts, "I'm your daughter, you do it." Abhishek noticed her assertiveness and noted a change in the generation today wherein there is a lesser dominance of hierarchies and communication is characterized by mutual respect.

Abhishek married Aishwarya in 2007. They had their daughter, Aaradhya, in 2011. His podcast appearance stressed heritage, family values, and fostering equality and understanding amongst generations.
