Now this could well be termed as a mature love story. A love story that could take an ideal route of love cum arranged marriage. In the end, things could just seem to be speculative but fact cannot be denied that heat is slowly but steadily building up on the Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai front.

A news that just seemed to be one of those gossip monger's spread rumors seems to be taking a serious turn. Especially critical is it importance since it comes at the time when Abhishek Bachchan is fast reaching towards the top to give competition to the likes of Khans and Akshay Kumar (yes, he is there in the elite list now) while Aishwarya Rai has one of the most critical years of her film career lined up with movies like Umrao Jaan, Dhoom II, Provoked and a couple of other Hollywood projects in the pipeline.

While an official word is still awaited from the love birds or their families, the breaking news of a leading national daily has further confirmed that there are good chances of wedding bells ringing soon for the two. Apparently the horoscopes of the two were taken to priest Chandrashekhar Swami in Bangalore, a fact that has been confirmed by a close aid of the priest himself. The horoscopes were sent through someone close to the Bachchans (rumored to be Ajitabh Bachchan, Big B's younger brother). Now this is one news. But the good news is as follows:

As per the priest, the horoscopes match perfectly and the two have been advised to get married as soon as possible.

For last 3-4 months or so, the gossip had been fast making rounds within and outside the industry regarding the alleged romance of Chota B and Ash. Separation of Ash and Viveik Oberoi further fueled the fire while the 'most eligible bachelor' status of Aby baby was the talk of the town, There were talks of small little affairs of Abhishek in the tinsel town (most recently with upcoming actress Dipannita Sharma) but none were considered serious enough to be taken seriously. Until the two met on the sets of J.P.Dutta's 'Umrao Jaan' and the sparks flew. While none of the two were willing to comment on this newfound 'friendship', sources close to them were of the view that this relationship was for the keeps. Especially so because the Bachchan mom was serious about her son's future with the lovely Ash.

As per people close to the Bachchans and Rais, the two have been seeing each other for quite some time now and the marriage is definitely on the cards. Also, the two have been seeing a lot of each other in the last couple of months or so, but an appearance that made the most news was Abhishek's 30th birthday (on February 5th) where Ash was treated as a special guest. Though there were other starlets like Rani Mukherjee and Priyanka Chopra present, the center of attraction for everyone in the household was Ash. She was also taken around the entire Bachchan household, Jalsa, and showed childhood photographs of the junior Bachchan. The party continued for long and she was one of the last to have left the next morning after dancing and partying.

Another juicy bit of information that has come in is about Abhishek's protective attitude towards Ash. Apparently he asked for certain stills from Dhoom II to be shown to him in which Ash has some hot scenes with her co-star Hrithik Roshan (incidentally both play a villainous couple in the movie). Also, howsoever busy he may be, he makes it a point to pick up her calls (an exception that he doesn't do for many), even if he is in the middle of a shoot or a dubbing!

The news about the impending marriage has resulted in mixed reactions from various sections of the media where most are of the view that the two have a special place for each other in their hearts but marriage may not be the best step in their blooming career. The common thought is that this may prove to be a little detrimental for their market value, especially this year when both have crores riding on them.

Our two cents on this relationship would be to let the two lovelorn hearts decide what works best for them. And regarding the market value, we don't think that an audience really cares for the marital status of a star, as long as he/she is delivering the goods. May the best work out for the two of them and even if is turns out to be just a gossip, the two find their respective soul mates to keep them happy for lives!
