Though Abhishek and Abhinay were working together for the first time professionally, they knew each other from the past due to latter's advertising background. The maker of over 450 ad films over the decade gone by, Abhinay had even come close to shooting a couple of ad films with Abhishek in the past.
"Though I am starting off in Bollywood with 'Game', I am not new to the industry folks in general," says Abhinay who is the son of veteran actor Ramesh Deo, "Abhishek too knows about my work from the past and hence there was a certain amount of mutual respect and comfort between us even before the actual shooting began."
The camaraderie continued even when the film went on floors as both Abhinay and Abhishek were pretty prepared with what was expected out of them.
"When the camera started rolling, it was all too smooth as both of us know our jobs inside out," smiles Abhinay, "Abhishek showed complete faith in me as a director which was incredible as he never ended up questioning a single decision or a moment in the film. I would have thought that since he has done over 30 films over the decade gone by, he would try to have his way at places. However none of that happened at all. He trusted me and that allowed me to work freely as well."
Starring Kangna Ranaut, Sarah Jane Dias, Jimmy Shergill, Gauhar Khan, Shahana Goswami, Boman Irani and Anupam Kher as the other key players, 'Game' is a Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani production and releases all over on 1st April.
