Abhimanyudu Day 1 share is encouraging

'Abhimanyudu', the Telugu version of 'Irumbu Thirai', is riding on the back of its content. Starring Vishal in the role of a troubled and angry army man, it has Arjun Sarja as an intelligent antagonist waging an information war against common Indians. Samantha plays a psychologist named Latha Devi.

The news is that the action-drama has earned a share of Rs. 1.22 crores on Day 1 in the Telugu States. It hit the screens on June 1 (Friday) amid fairly good expectations. As per trade analysts, the thriller will attain the status of a hit in the coming two days.

Directed by debutant PS Mithran, the film has clashed with 'Officer' and 'Raju Gadu' at the box-office.
