It’s not uncommon to see lovers taking this season of love and Valentine’s Day as an opportunity to propose their beloved. However, this ‘Aazaan’ star took everyone by surprise when he announced on Valentines that he has already got engaged to his lady love Urvashi Sharma.

Yes, few days back Sachiin Joshi posted a picture of Urvashi and himself and put up a status on his BlackBerry Messenger saying that he was hitched. The news left many of his closest friends pleasantly surprised “I doubt any of us were expecting this, but we are really happy for Sachiin and Urvashi,” reveals one of them.

Confirming the news the actor’s publicist Dale Bhagwagar stated, “It’s true! Sachiin proposed to his longtime sweetheart and ‘Naqaab’ actress Urvashi Sharma on Valentines Day and she accepted. Their families are elated.” Dale also added that the rest of the details including the marriage date have been kept under wraps for now.

Talks are that the actor is planning an extravagant reception scheduled to be held in the first week of March. The guest list is set to include Sachiin’s close friends from Bollywood, prominent politicians, industrialists and bureaucrats. Apart from film industry biggies like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, some Hollywood celebrities are also expected to attend.

Sachiin’s sisters have already got the ball rolling when it comes to wedding preparations with the reception set to be held in Mumbai. On the other hand, Urvashi might be a Delhi girl, but there have been no plans to hold a celebration in the capital city yet.

For the record, Sachiin made his acting debut last year with ‘Aazaan’, an action film directed by Prashant Chadha, co-starring him with South African model Candice Boucher. It was one of the most expensive films in Bollywood and went on to gather critical acclaim for it concept as well as technical finesse. Incidentally, Sachiin won Most Promising Debutant of 2011 at the recently held Max Stardust Award 2012.
