Phoonk's writer Milind Gadagkar approached RGV with a story that the director says, excited him anon. Ram says that while the first part belonged to that category of horror which terrifies the audience by placing the character(s) in utter helpless scenario, the sequel belongs to that category which scares them by creating an hallucination that something unknown is happening around him, with the help of technicality.

So, what is Aavaham (Phoonk-2) going to be? In the second part, the black magician who was killed with the help of a swami, comes from the graveyard and kills the latter. In such a situation, what fate awaits the hero's family? Sudeep, Amritha Kanvilkar, Ehsaan Channa, Rishab Jain, Anu Ansari, Ganesh Yadav, Manish Khanna are the key actors. Camera work is by Chandrakanth Vasanth Meher.
