Aashirvad Cinemas in Bollywood

One of the esteemed production houses of Mollywood Aashirvad Cinemas is debuting to Bollywood. The latest report says that Oppam` will be remade in Hindi and will be directed by Priyadarshan who did the Malyalam version too.Aashirvad Cinemas is owned by Antony Perumbavoor who is a close aid of Mohanlal from his early days. It is the largest production banner in Malayalam industry.

Oppam` the latest film from the banner is continuing its collection spree. So with this, it will be the first production banner from Mollywood to make an entry into Bollywood. Oppam` Hindi remake will be on floors by next year. Akshay Kumar, the favorite actor of Priyadarshan in Bollywood will do the role of Blind Man which Mohanlal had essayed in Malayalam.

This will be first project of the banner which will not have Mohanlal in the cast. Aashirvad kick-started its production with the Mohanlal film Narasimham` in 2000. The highest grosser of the industry Drishyam` was produced under this banner.
