The mega celebrations at Singapore to commemorate the 75 years of Tamil cinema kicked off last week with the screening of MGR's classic Nadodi Mannan.

Sarath Kumar, president, South India Film Artistes association, inaugurated the month-long celebrations, organized by Nadigar Sangam.

The mega event would conclude with a star nite event on 6 October in which stars of the tinsel town are expected to take part.

On Thursday, the premiere of Madhavan's latest release Aarya was organized. Madhavan, director Balasekharan and producer Manoj Kumar among others took part in the celebrations.

Aarya features Madhavan and Bhavana play medical college students. The movie also stars Vadivelu and Prakash Raj in key roles.
