Aarti Agarwal, one of the frontline heroines, last night tried to take the extreme step at her residence in MLA Colony, Hyderabad.

She was immediately admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills and her condition is reported to be stable.

Aarti was in an unconscious state when she was admitted to the hospital after her family members found her in the bathroom.

Sources say that she might have consumed some cleansing liquid.

Though none of the family members could be contacted for an 'official version', sources say that the young actress had an emotional argument with her father and other family members over her alleged affair with the young hero Tarun.

Though her parents were opposed to her affair with Tarun, whose fortunes are also on a downswing, the news that he himself was not keen to go ahead with the marriage plans seems to have hurt Aarti very much.

It might be the cause for her suicide attempt.Soggadu, the duo's new film has already been postponed for next month.

Aarti had her debut in Hindi with Pagalpan and her entry into Tollywood was through Nuvvu Naaku Nachav opposite Tarun. She has done nearly a dozen films in Telugu in the last three years. Her last release was Sankranthi.

Aarti is a Gujarathi from the US and has become a full-fledged actress in Telugu.
