AAP leader wants a criminal case against Kangana Ranaut

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is facing trouble from a leader belonging to the Maharashtra unit of the Aam Aadmi Party National executive member Preeti Sharma Menon of Arvind Kejriwal's party has said that the Bollywood damsel is guilty of making "seditious and inflammatory" remarks. In the past, the 'Thalaivi' actress said that India got true Independence only in 2014, adding that what India got in 1947 was charity from the British. It's a direct reference to Narendra Modi being elected to Prime Ministership in the May 2014 General Elections.

"Submitted an application to Mumbai Police requesting action on Kangana Ranaut for her seditious and inflammatory statements on Times Now under sections 504, 505 and 124A," Menon tweeted today. Section 124A is a sedition clause. If a person is found guilty of sedition, the punishment is harsh.

It has to be seen how Kangana will respond to the demand. She has been banned from Twitter. On Instagram, the 'Queen' actress uses the platform to make political statements at times.
