In the past, the 'Thalaivi' actress said that India got true Independence only in 2014, adding that what India got in 1947 was charity from the British. It's a direct reference to Narendra Modi being elected to Prime Ministership in the May 2014 General Elections.

It has to be seen how Kangana will respond to the demand. She has been banned from Twitter. On Instagram, the 'Queen' actress uses the platform to make political statements at times.
