Aanand L Rai turns producer

After his two successful outing with 'Tanu Weds Manu' and 'Raanjhanaa', director Aanand L Rai now dons the producer's hat with 'Tanu Weds Manu 2' and a project directed by south director Vetrimaaran. Said Aanand L Rai, "Everything about the filmmaking process has always excited me and I'm thrilled to make my foray into production".

If that wasn't all, Aanand L Rai will also be producing a film, which will be directed by Navdeep Singh, the director of upcoming film NH10'. On talking about this association, Rai stated, "I loved Navdeep's work in Manorama (Six Feet Under). After watching it, I told myself that if I ever produce a film, I will get it directed by Navdeep. He came up with an interesting script a few days ago, and we decided to go ahead with the project."

The untitled film is set in Canada and is a romantic gangster drama. Though details of the film are under wraps for the moment, Aanand Rai who is currently working on the sequel of TWM , will soon sit on the casting.
