Aamir's 'Talaash' benefits Genelia

One man's loss is another's gain. This could well hold true for Genelia D'Souza who has now benefitted immensely from the postponing of Aamir Khan's 'Talaash'. The ripple effect caused by the moving ahead of this film has given her much delayed 'It's My Life' a fresh lease of life as it would now be her first release post marriage.
Since 'Talaash' was moved ahead, Akshay Kumar pre-poned his 'Rowdy Rathore' and occupied the available slot. This resulted in an empty date which was up for grabs. Though earlier there were talks of Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra eyeing this date for 'Teri Meri Kahaani', they decided to stay where they were. After much thought, it was decided that 'It's My Life' would be revived and released on this date. The film is now arriving on 15th June and Genelia has Aamir Khan to thank, says a trade insider.
The Anees Bazmee film has been ready for quite some time but waiting to see the light of the day. In fact it was originally meant to release two years ago but due to certain production related issues, the film had to hold on. In the meantime Bazmee went ahead and made 'No Problem' and 'Ready'. Even Genelia was busy with her numerous South assignments and then finished and released 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya' in a jiffy.
The film's success has only turned out to be a bonus for the makers of 'It's My Life' since Genelia was appreciated once again for her sparkling performance in 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya'. Moreover since the film is a remake of Telugu blockbuster 'Bommarillu' which too had featured Genelia in an author backed role, it is a given that 'It's My Life' would carry forward the momentum, a source attached to the film comments.
With another film of hers - 'Rock The Shaadi' - on hold due to production issues (again), Genelia could well be thanking Aamir for giving her much 'It's My Life' a much needed breather.
