It is official now. Madhu Mantena, who will produce the Hindi version of Tagore, has said that Aamir Khan will be the lead of the Hindi version of the 2003 Telugu blockbuster. He said that the Anna Hazare movement against corruption will the inspiration for the film's script. The storyline will of course follow the original idea.

It may be noted that Aamir Khan enjoys remarkable credibility and he even recently shared the dais with Anna Hazare. Now that a film on corruption has been announced with him as the hero, it will only help the film's publicity.

AR Murugadoss worked earlier with Aamir for the Hindi avatar of Ghajini. The director and the hero will find it that much more easy to work with each other now.

As for those who are not aware of the storyline, the protagonist floats an organisation comprising of a band of youngsters to punish the biggest crooks in various government departments. Good portion of the film is about how the police try to nab the brain behind the kidnappings and murders. However, the hero is always a step ahead of the cops for most part. The film's interesting thriller-like screenplay in the first half made a grand success at the BO in Telugu and Tamil in which it raked in record collections.
