His ‘3 Idiots’ is waiting to hit the screens on Christmas this month, for which he is keenly promoting. Meanwhile he is even busy with his production and wife’s directorial debut ‘Dhobi Ghat’.

Aamir Khan is also keeping his mind active with ‘Dhobi Ghat’, his other production. With all this juggling, the actor seems to be keen to remain sane. And so Aamir has made up his mind not to sign any films for one more year. In fact he is said to have not signed any films since Ghajini’s release and was on a one year break. However, reports say that Aamir has now decided to extend his sabbatical by one more year.

“Filmmakers who have approached him with projects have been told that Aamir intends to take approximately one more year to supervise the post-production and final look of the three films that he has produced in 2009, namely Abhinay Deo's Delhi Belly, Anushka Rizvi's The Falling and Aamir's wife Kiran Rao's Dhobi Ghat,” said reliable sources. These projects have been stalled because of his involvement in ‘3 Idiots’. Now he is keen to be serious about these films and wants them to release in 2010. For this, he is willing to forgo his acting assignments to look into them. So he isn't signing any films in 2010 either, added the sources.

With competition brewing in the industry, one can appreciate the star’s nerve to turn down lucrative film offers. However, sources say that Aamir suffers no security pangs about not signing films. For, he is one actor who loves to work at his own pace, no matter how alluring the offer is. No wonder he is rightly called Mr. Perfectionist…
