Writer-director Reema Kagti has quashed rumours making rounds that her 'Talaash' has been postponed since it bears striking similarities with recently released 'Kahaani'. She insists that all speculations are mere hogwash and is also puzzled with the fact that some out there could cook up some random stories.

"I am rather surprised with such rumours. Despite clearly stating that 'Talaash' has been moved to November since we didn't want the film to clash with Aamir's TV show, some chose to build their own stories. I have heard a lot about 'Kahaani'. In fact Sujoy Ghosh is a good friend of mine and I am sure he must have made something fantastic. I have to yet watch it though but based on what I know of it, there is nothing that is similar about the two films," says Reema who has co-written the film with Zoya Akhtar and had made a notable debut as a director with 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.'

Reema believes that such loose started making rounds once announcement was made around the postponement of 'Talaash'. Since this happened soon after the release of 'Kahaani', some mischief makers formed their own assumption around the content of 'Talaash' and started spreading rumours.

"Whoever questioned me about the so-called similarities, I did explain clearly that there was none there. Beyond that kya kar sakte hain," she says with a wry smile, "Let 'Talaash' release and the film will speak for itself. People will realise on their own that there is no similarity whatsoever."

Now that there are a few more months to go before the film gets ready for release, Reema isn't minding the extra time in hand.

"Aamir would be seeing the first edit of the film soon. There are other ideas that are already being firmed up for the film's marketing and promotion. There is still some time before they are unveiled. Just wait and watch," says Reema before signing off.
