Director and actor Parthiban, who had recently made an appearance on screen playing the villain in Vishal starrer crime drama Ayogya had last directed Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga before three years, and is now returning to direction with his next movie titled as Oththa Seruppu.

Oththa Seruppu is touted to be a crime flick which is a unique attempt that will have only one character, played by Parthiban himself and the movie has music by Santhosh Narayanan. Recently, the audio launch event was held which was attended by Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan, Shankar. K Bhagyaraj, KS Ravikumar etc and Superstar Rajnikanth had sent a video wishing Parthiban.

Following the Superstar is Bollywood perfectionist Aamir Khan, who has conveyed his wishes toParthiban via a video, where he said "Hi Parthiban, wishing you and the entire team of Oththa Seruppu size 7 all the best for its musical release and the film itself. The film has an unusual theme, I believe, as you said the film has only one, solo character, which is quite exciting. My best wishes to you and the entire team.
