Bollywood stars have been helping people amidst the Covid-19 crisis in several ways. It is now common to see celebrities joining new initiatives to extend help towards the needy. Walking on the same line, actor Aamir Khan has decided to face former world champion Viswanathan Anand in a game of chess for charity.

The objective of the event named 'Checkmate Covid' will be to raise money for the people of chess community who are battling the pandemic. It reported that a few more celebrities will be part of the event.

A Twitter page dedicated to the game wrote yesterday, "The moment you all have been waiting for! Superstar Aamir Khan, an ardent chess lover, will be playing an exhibition match against former world champion Vishy Anand! Please feel free to donate generously to make this event a success."

On the work front, Aamir is fully focused on his much anticipated film, 'Lal Singh Chadda' which has been in production for a few years now.
