A much loved Indian superstar has revealed that he decided to quit films and it was actually his ex-wife who convinced him to reconsider. It is none other than Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan who is one of the biggest in pan Indian cinema who is well respected for his dedication and hardwork in his films.
Speaking at an event on Saturday, March 26th Aamir stated “I feel like I’d spent my life chasing my dreams and trying to fulfil them. But during this journey, I didn’t pay attention to my loved ones. My parents, my siblings, my children, my first wife Reena, my second wife Kiran, their parents… Perhaps I couldn’t devote enough time to them. My daughter is now 23. I am sure she must have missed my presence in her life when she was younger. She will have had her own anxieties, fears, dreams and hopes. I wasn’t there for her, I know this now. I didn’t know her dreams and fears and hopes, but I knew the fears and dreams and hopes of my directors.”
The multiple award winner added “We know we will run out of time one day, but we don’t know when. I had a sharp realisation about this, and that I’ve lived my life in some sort of trance, and I’ve lost a lot because of this. And most of all I was not there for my kids to help them become better citizens”
Aamir then much to the relief of fans at the event said that his ex-wife Kiran Rao tearfully convinced him to reconsider his decision of quitting films. Similarly his children too coaxed him that instead of taking the extreme step he should make an effort to strike a balance between his private and personal lives.
Aamir also made it clear that he maintains a very healthy relationship with both his ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao. He has daughter Ira Khan and son Junaid Khan with Reena and Azad Rao Khan with Kiran. His next film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' the Hindi remake of the Hollywood cult classic 'Forest Gump' is releasing on August 11th this year. His next 'Mogul' is slated for release on December 25th , 2024.
