Kashmir is called the 'heaven on earth' and it's mesmerizing scenery and breathtaking landscapes justify that title very well. For a long time, the region has been a choice of filming and tourist location but in last few years, the conflict in the valley has discouraged people from travelling to Kashmir. Currently Aamir Khan is in the region filming for 'Laal Singh Chadda' and in a meeting with the Lieutenant Governor of J&K, he discussed how to revive the glory of the region in cinema.
Well yesterday, Aamir Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and producer Mahaveer Jain met with Lt Gov Manoj Sinha again as he launched the new film policy of the state. The motto of the newly launched policy is to encourage filmmakers for filming their projects in the beautiful valleys and mountains of Kashmir.
The new policy will make it easier for filmmakers to apply for permission for the shooting in the valley as the whole process is going to be digitised. A new website will take the individual through the process step by step and will also provide the information regarding hills, valleys, forts, waterfalls, medows etc which are suitable for filming.
Aamir recently filmed for the war scenes of 'Laal Singh Chadda' in the valley.
