The rise of OTT platforms have polarized the cinema fraternity. While some artists are glad that they got a stage to showcase their talent while there are others who fear that digital entertainment is going to ruin cinema. Aamir Khan belongs to the second category. The actor holds massive box office power and he is concerned that more and more films are taking the digital route of release.
In an event yesterday, Aamir said, "Some films are releasing on OTT platforms, and as a film person, I am very concerned. I hope in the near future things will improve." He added, “It is not easy to talk about reopening cinema halls. Theatres can be opened up only when the health situation improves, and we control the Covid-19 situation as a society, we are all trying and working on it. As more and more people get vaccinated things will get better.”
Aamir will soon be seen in his long awaited film 'Laal Singh Chadda'. He recently filmed for the war scenes in Laddakh for the movie.
