Aamir Khan has landed in a legal soup, in connection to his show 'Satyamev Jayate'.

As per media sources, a legal notice has been sent by an activist, Manoranjan Roy to Aamir, stating that it's improper to use the show's name "Satyamev Jayate", which is actually a part of State Emblem. He alleged that it has been used without the permission of Central Government.

Through his advocate, Manoj Singh, Roy said to have demanded the show's producers Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao and director Satyajit Bhatkal - a copy of government's permission for the words' usage. Failing which they will have to face further legal proceedings.

According to the notice, the title Satyamev Jayate is a part of the State Emblem which cannot be used without permission as per State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act 2009. No authority has the right to register or grant patent which contains the State Emblem or its part. It cannot be used to get monetary benefit or for the purpose of advertisement.
